Whether it’s from a recent injury or your weekly workout or run schedule, or maybe you just need to recover from sitting at a desk all week! In this class we talk about anatomy and common issues many people experience in their mobility and ability to activate certain muscle groups. This class is a slower pace. We will focus on foam rolling (self myo-facial release), mobility, stretching, and light muscle activation. The goal here is to retrain the nervous system and improve our neuromuscular efficiency. This class will change from week to week based on the needs of the attendees. If you make a request in advance for a specific trouble area, I will prepare specific exercises and stretches for class to help you move forward with your goals.  All are welcome, camera on or off. The first training session is always FREE. We will talk about your goals, your current and past athletic experience, and jump into a workout. Expect to sweat, build, and strengthen at a pace and level that’s right for you. All sessions currently virtual. Recommended tools: Personal training will be curated to the tools you have. Let me know in the intake form what equipment you currently possess. We can workout and see results using only bodyweight. If you have a full gym accessible to you- awesome, we will use it. Purchasing specific tools may be recommended to you, depending on your goals.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Corrective Exercise - What is Corrective Exercise?</image:title>
      <image:caption>If you are a human being on this Earth, you have muscle imbalances. Some imbalances may form to help us. Ex: an Olympic runner on a track will have imbalances because they run one direction on the track. Often imbalances occur because a muscle is underactive (can’t get it to work) or overactive (can’t get it to release). We all have them, but at a certain point reinforcing these imbalances without addressing them will lead to injury. If you have some new fitness goals you are going after, but haven’t addressed some imbalances in your body, you will continuously reinforce the firing pattern your body is used to. Which may mean some muscles are not working at all while some become increasingly tight, pulling on your joints. Our musculature is always forming along the path of least resistance, which does not always mean our muscles are developing optimally. Whether you are an experienced lifter looking to PR, or a twice a week walker building up the nerve for your first 5k, corrective exercise program will benefit YOU.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Corrective Exercise - What to Expect</image:title>
      <image:caption>During your virtual assessment we will examine function and alignment in your: Ankles Knees Pelvic/Lumbar Hip Complex Thoracic Spine &amp; Shoulders Elbows and Wrists Cervical Spine In 2-3 days you will be sent a Corrective Exercise program specially crafted to your needs for you to perform on your own 3-5 days a week. 15 minute Check-ins will be scheduled weekly to discuss your progress and adjust your program as needed. You may need to purchase additional tools for your at home program such as a foam roller or workout bands.</image:caption>
